IDE is an acronym and stands for “Integrated Development Environment”. An IDE helps you code more efficiently and in an easy way.
An advanced IDE offers features that can enhance your development and programming Experiences like automation, visualization, and customization.
Nowadays IDEs are quite popular among developers and widely used in web development because they help developers to write, execute and debug a program or application.
Furthermore, an IDE gives access to developers to handle large codebases which trigger fast development and deployment of projects.
There are numerous IDEs available in the market for developers to enhance their development experience.
There are some common features among all IDEs and these are:
- Brace Matching
- Syntax correction & Highlight
- Quick error fixing
- Plugins to enhance basic functionality of an IDE
- Compatibility with operations systems
- Support for different programming languages
- Compiler to view the output of written code.

Best IDE for front end development
- Visual Studio Code
- IntelliJ IDEA
- AWS Cloud9 IDE
- Komodo IDE …
From the above-given list of IDEs, I have tried different IDEs but I find Visual Studio Code best among all others. due to its numerous features which creates a seamless development experience.
Visual Studio IDE is the most widely used IDE and is very much popular among developers because it has the most features available in it.
How I setup VS Code for a beginners front-end workflow:
✅ It uses AI techniques to learn from your code learning procedures and suggests you auto-fill suggestions to complete your code in less time.
✅ Above all it allows you to collaborate with your teams and other developers in a live mode specifically when you are writing editing or debugging a set of code.
✅ It is available for all operating systems like Windows, Android, Mac, iOS, and web versions.
✅ It has a widespread language support and supports web, Mobile & app development and not only limited to this it also supports ASP.Net, Node.js, Unity, Azure, Python, and C++.
In general, I can conclude that the Visual Studio code is the best IDE featuring most of the available features but still as discussed above there are so many IDEs available for developers to meet their needs and requirements.
Some are good for beginners and, some are made for expert developers. Although all of them offer more or less the same basic features and functionalities but still we cannot declare a single one to be good for all.
Might be possible the one I am declaring the best could not be suitable for you are per your requirements.
Therefore, it is necessary for you to make a market comparison according to your requirements and then decide a one that suits most your needs and is compatible with your code requirements.
